Angola: Mamao com Vinho de Porto

This was an incredibly simple dessert, which I prepared after we ate dinner.  All you need is papaya, port wine, and lime.


Peel the papaya skin off, then cut in half and remove the seeds.  Serve each half (or slices if you prefer) with a lime wedge and small cup of port.


Each person can add lime and port to taste.  I found it worked well to cut the papaya in half again and score it to let the lime juice and port soak in.
