Afghanistan: Naan

Naan (recipe)

The process to make naan is very well documented over at the Half Baked Harvest blog, where I got the recipe, so I will keep this short.

There was a one hour rising time for the dough, which went quickly as we were very busy with the rest of the meal.  Once it was go time, Tyler rolled out the dough and I fried it.  I found that it didn’t take as long to cook as the recipe I referenced, but that could be because the heat was too high.  I turned it down part way through, since I seemed to be overcooking the naan.  It was pretty fun to watch the dough bubble up while cooking!

The frying process went way too quickly to capture any photos, so here is the finished product!
